Food and Ag Strategist
Tom has provided leadership and strategic direction for a broad portfolio of financial and brand marketing initiatives with organizations including the U.S. Meat Export Federation, Potatoes USA, and most recently, the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA). There Tom was responsible for the state’s agricultural marketing programs including export development, domestic and highly successful direct marketing programs including Colorado Proud and the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board.
Earlier in his career, Tom worked in various marketing roles with the North Dakota and United States departments of agriculture. He remains actively engaged in supporting the agricultural community and is hands-on in managing his family’s farm in North Dakota. Those connections help him seek and advance opportunities for the next generation of producers who will raise the food we put on our tables.
Tom earned BS and MS degrees in Agriculture at North Dakota State University.
