Iconic Logos That Weren’t Always So

Building a brand that stands the test of time is no easy feat, and even the big guns get it wrong sometimes. Thankfully, these five companies recognized the error of their ways, listened to their marketing and communication teams and got it right.

Imagine what kind of a company Apple would be today if it stuck with its original logo. The Gap learned not to mess with a good thing. Starbucks was on the right track, but its current logo demonstrates how important refinement is. Google figured out that copycat logos won’t get you very far. And Nokia, well, Nokia realized literal renderings of animals that have nothing to do with your modern company stall you in the water.
