In 2018, she helped increase voter turnout by over 32.6%, set a university record-high turnout of the student body, and elected the first openly gay student body president at KU. Her work was recognized nationally as a 2018 first-place winner for market strategy and content exceptionally in tune with audience and market needs.

She has years of experience with public relations and social media marketing thanks to the two terms she spent serving as the KU Student Senate Communications Director and summers interning in Washington, DC and Kansas City.
