Karin cut her teeth in database marketing after college, only to wind up in the cable TV business, working for some of the largest operators in the country. In addition to creating multi-faceted campaigns that drove sales, she also managed to squeeze in some product management, sponsorship activation, online retail marketing, loyalty program management and best practice analysis. Whew! Some of her favorite projects included designing a new remote control, managing a multimillion dollar NASCAR partnership, leveraging technology through trial at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and developing a comprehensive marketing strategy to launch a new product. She led teams that met revenue and operating goals while making sure it was fun along the way.

More recently, Karin managed a five-year education campaign for the Colorado oil and natural gas industry, created an innovative event marketing effort for a national mattress brand, led a multifaceted research project for a nonprofit in higher education, and is currently charging ahead with rebranding a financial institution. She enjoys strategic thinking and execution, making sure client objectives are always the guiding light.

Karin is the past chair of the CU-Boulder Alumni Association Board of Directors, and loves mentoring undergraduate students at the Leeds School of Business through their PMP program.

In her spare time, Karin can be found skiing with her family or being a soccer mom (but you won’t find her in a minivan!), running around Wash Park, watching anything related to the British royal family, and perfecting her pie making for friends and family.

Karin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
