ADCD Paper Fashion Show

Challenge:

You’d think a fashion show featuring frocks ranging from a sleek little cocktail dress you’d actually consider wearing to a towering confection paraded by a model on stilts would draw a wide audience of one’s creative peers. Especially if every garment were made entirely of paper! But the Art Directors Club of Denver couldn’t bring up the attendance numbers for its annual fundraiser.

Solution:

Philosophy, having participated in several past shows (and even nabbing first prize place), offered to help ADCD boost attendance at the Paper Fashion Show. Over three months, our two-pronged strategy of promoting participation and creating buzz about the event, the entry spots filled within three weeks, and the venue was filled to capacity the night of the event.

Results:

As a result of our campaign, the Sixth Annual Paper Fashion Show enjoyed a 28 percent increase in entries, a 166 percent increase in attendance, and a 156 percent increase in revenue over the previous year’s event. Plus, Philosophy increased media coverage by 48 percent, with 37 media placements, including two live segments on 9News.
